Rick Syens joined Friedman+Huey as the Human Resources Director in December 2025.  He is committed to fostering a positive and dynamic work environment that supports both individual and organizational growth. His expertise in strategic HR management ensures that F+H remains a top choice for talent seeking a rewarding career path.

Outside the office, Rick actively engages in community service. He serves as a basketball referee for the Special Olympics, bringing his passion for sports to a meaningful cause.  Further, he volunteers at a number of charities, contributing to initiatives that support those in need.

Rick enjoys a variety of hobbies that reflect his zest for life. A green thumb gardener, he finds joy in cultivating plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces. As a DIY Weekend Warrior, Rick embraces hands-on projects that challenge his creativity and skills.  While the excitement of sports are a significant part of his life, cheering on his favorite teams—the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers; he also relishes spending time at the beach, savoring the tranquility and joy of the ocean.
