Kris Sopel, CPA, MST

Principal

Kris began working at F+H in 2011 as an intern. He specializes in working with high-net-worth individuals and families, focusing on investment partnerships and international tax reporting. Kris also works with many of the Firm’s expatriate clients.

Kris is a leader on both F+H’s Family Office Services committee, which drives how the Firm services high-net-worth families, as well as the Firm’s International Tax committee. He is also a member of the AICPA and IL CPA Society.

Kris loves traveling with his wife and three kids, Hawaii being the one place he and his wife revisit regularly. An avid golfer with a single digit handicap, he takes advantage of every opportunity to hit the links, whether with family, friends, or clients. When not playing, you might find him volunteering at various local golf tournaments or in his basement with his kids (Scratch Golfer Jr. in Training) practicing on their DIY golf simulator. When the courses are closed for snow, Kris enjoys skiing and snowboarding.
