We’re looking for an accountant with bookkeeping experience to handle day to day accounting transactions including preparation and posting of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and other general accounting and bookkeeping duties. Must have strong analytical skills and ability to thoroughly review financial statements. Directly interact with wide range of clients. Strong client facing experience.
This position can be fully remote, hybrid or in any of our Chicago suburban offices: Frankfort, or Northbrook. If remote, ideally within 2 hour driving distance from one of our offices for in-person meetings. We offer flexible schedules to allow for work/life balance.
- Minimum of 5 years accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably within a public accounting firm
- Solid working knowledge in QuickBooks
- Experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Payroll experience a plus
- Must be comfortable reporting to multiple people and clients
- Audit experience desirable
- A self-starter who takes initiative and demonstrates some drive.
- Reliable, accurate, and detail oriented a must.
- Well organized and excellent time management skills.
- Quick learner and able to prioritize
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- This position requires a can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Some overtime and weekends may be required.
