Anne is a partner in the Firm having spent 6 years at Arthur Young (now part of Ernst & Young). Anne specializes in fiduciary (trust & estate) taxation along with managing our fiduciary tax practice where we are essentially the in-house tax department for various banks and law firms. Anne also has extensive experience in expatriate taxation.
Annette is a partner in the Firm and here for over 15 years and prior having spent 12 years in the trust department of a large Chicago based multi-state bank. Annette specializes in fiduciary taxation and large family groups.
Cathy is a partner in the Firm having spent 11 years at some large Chicago area firms including 2 years as a senior manager with KPMG. Cathy is the lead partner in our law firm practice while also working with entity returns of all types. Cathy is instrumental in assisting our clients with general accounting and bookkeeping systems and procedures.
Christian is a partner in the Firm having started in our internship program. He specializes in fiduciary, estate and individual income taxation and working with large family groups. Christian is teaching as an undergraduate/graduate tax instructor at Purdue University Northwest. He has spoken on various occasions presenting on the taxation of decedents, estates and trusts. Christian serves as a 1041 subject matter expert for a national tax software development firm and has edited various professional publications.
Craig is a partner in the Firm having spent 26 years as a founding partner of Gilson, Labus & Silverman. Craig works with large multi-entity family groups and specializes in corporate, partnership and related issues. Craig has authored many articles for various professional publications and frequently is an expert witness on tax related matters. Craig has been active in the Union League Boys & Girls Foundation for many years in various responsible roles.
Dave is a partner in the Firm having spent 4 years at Altschuler, Melvoin & Glasser (now part of McGladrey) as head of their personal financial planning practice and 10 years at Arthur Young (now part of Ernst & Young) in their personal tax practice. Dave specializes in individual taxation, personal financial planning issues and family groups. Dave also coordinates and administers our firm wide internship program, recruiting and HR activities. Dave has spoken at various professional tax forums and is a frequent guest lecturer at local universities.
Elliott is a founding member of the Firm, managing partner and partner in charge of Estate & Gift Practice. Elliott spent 13 years at Arthur Young (now part of Ernst & Young) and was a Principal working in their individual, fiduciary and estate & gift tax group, also being responsible for their expatriate tax practice. Elliott has been an adjunct associate professor in both the DePaul Masters of Taxation program and at IIT-Chicago Kent Law school and currently is one of the most highly rated speakers for various professional societies. As a member of the Chicago Estate Planning council, Elliott is a recipient of the prestigious Austin Fleming award.
Hanping is a partner in the Firm and here for over 9 years and prior having spent 8 years in the tax departments of 2 mid-size Chicago area firms. Hanping specializes in large family groups and is in charge of our foreign investment disclosure practice.
John is a partner in the Firm having spent 6 years at Altschuler, Melvoin & Glasser (now part of McGladrey) in their entrepreneurial services group. John specializes in individual taxation along with managing much of our practice where we are essentially the in-house tax department for various banks. John is also one of the office managing partners in our Frankfort office along with managing our internship program in that location.
John is a partner in the Firm having spent 7 years at McGladrey including as a Director in their manufacturing, distribution & retail group and 5 years with Bansley & Kiener before that. John works with large multi-entity family groups and specializes in corporate, partnership and state & local tax issues. John is partner in charge of firm wide staffing and resource allocation.
Lou is a partner in the Firm having spent 9 years at Altschuler, Melvoin & Glasser (now part of McGladrey) including as the senior manager in real estate practice and on their largest client. Lou specializes in real estate, partnership and family investment partnerships. Lou also coordinates and administers our firm wide continuing education including teaching extensively on partnership issues.
Pat is a partner in the Firm having spent 4 years at Arthur Young (now part of Ernst & Young). Pat specializes in both corporations and partnerships. Having served in various office, director and committee positions with numerous charities, Pat administers our tax exempt organization practice. Pat also is in charge of our peer review programs and firm wide quality control. Pat has taught at the university level, for numerous professional organizations and CPA society groups.
Bob is a partner in the Firm having spent 5 years at Altschuler, Melvoin & Glasser (now part of McGladrey) in their real estate practice and on their largest client. Bob specializes in family groups, partnerships including family limited partnership and corporations. Bob also coordinates and administers our family office practice and is the partner in charge of our firm wide technology. Bob speaks at various professional tax forums and other organizations.
Sunny is a partner in the Firm and here for over 13 years starting in our internship program and prior having spent 7 years as a Radiographic Technologist at 3 medical centers. Sunny specializes in corporate and partnership taxation.
